Garden Chores

I had huge help on the farm this weekend not only with Marge cooking up some saucy goodness, but with Mags and her boys coming out and lending a hand with some garden chores. The boys were introduced to weeding and soon learned to appreciate the job of shelling beans.

Shelling beans is better than weeding!

Maggie toughed it out and helped me to reclaim the asparagus.

And though we are mighty and strong…and could’ve worked for HOURS more, we decided that mother nature was right…we should stop and seek shelter. A little storm (or my empty stomach) drove us under cover for a rest and snack break (some delicious homemade salsa and chips).

Once the rain moved on, we were granted a view of a complete, double rainbow. Very cool!
