Some Harvests

Our little peach tree out in the front yard looked so tempting, with its top full of fruits. Jordan and I walked over to get a better look only to notice that something ELSE thought it was tempting, too. Some of the lower fruits had bite marks on them. So, all the remaining fruits got picked. I sliced and froze just shy of 2 lbs ( hello peach daiquiri) and pulled the rock hard ones aside to ripen a little more. These are wonderful smelling white peaches. I understand the attraction, but the buffet has closed (poor deer).

~2 lbs picked

Ready or not, we picked our peaches to out compete the varmints who have been sampling them off the tree.

The other items filling our new chest freezer are these things –  BEANS! We’ve frozen well over 40 lbs of beans, with nearly 29 lbs seen in this picture:

Beans glorious beans

28.5 lbs of frozen beans
